In celebration of his appearance at Big Apple's The National Convention, writer/artist Michael Golden has tapped the show as THE place to debut his new signature portfolio of highly rendered artwork entitled "Michael Golden's Monsters".
This will be a rare opportunity for fans of Golden's work to meet the co-creator of X-men's Rogue character, who is lauded for his work on "The 'Nam," "Micronauts," "G.I. Joe," "Dr. Strange, " "Batman," "Iron Man," "Nightwing," as well as the upcoming Manga "Bucky O'Hare" from Vanguard Productions.
"Michael is certainly known for his color work as well," said his agent, Renee Witterstaetter of Eva Ink, "But there is something very bold and cathartic about seeing his pencils and inks sans color. The images in this portfolio jump off the page… Considering the subject matter, that could be frightening," she laughs.
Featuring ten full size plates, "Michael Golden's Monsters," from Image and Eva Ink measure 11x 17 and comes in a slipcase, signed and numbered package. For the Big Apple show only, Michael will also autograph each plate.
Simultaneously, Manhattan's M Gallery is pleased to announce a special Michael Golden art show to take place at this boutique West Village hot spot November 14-20, with a show reception scheduled for Friday November 17th from 7:30 to 10:30.
The M Gallery event will feature over 15 large canvas giclees of iconic Golden images, which will be available for acquisition. Michael will be remarking each piece sold at the party. In addition, rare pieces of original art will also be on display. The night features raffles, a vodka tasting, and silent auctions for Golden and Eva Ink merchandise, including books, statues and portfolios. Golden will also be sketching at the event.
