CBR News has been provided with an advance look at "The Looking Glass Wars: Hatter M" #4 by Frank Beddor, Liz Cavalier and Ben Templesmith. Shipping this week from Image Comics, this issue concludes the first comics outting for Beddor's widely popular "Looking Glass Wars" series, which turns the conventional notions of Alice in Wonderland on its ear, providing readers with "the real story." CBR News has spoken to Frank Beddor a number of times about his ever-growing franchise, first in an edition of Robert Taylor's REFLECTIONS, again in an interview with Jonah Weiland, and finally in an interview with myself.
Interestingly, mega-retailer WalMart is offering an exclusive bundle of "Looking Glass" products, including Beddor's original novel, the first issue of "Hatter M," and the official soundtrack album on CD. This is to our knowledge the first time a non-Marvel or non-DC title has been offered in such a way by a retailer of WalMart's kind. What's not available in the bundle is the official "Looking Glass Wars" online card game, which CBR News reported on back in September.
