'Clive Barker's Hellraiser' comic back from the dead in TPB

Checker Book Publishing Group has announced that this May, 2002 will see publication of "Clive Barker's Hellraiser - Collected Best." "Hellraiser" was originally published from 1990-1993 by Epic, an imprint of Marvel Comics.

The Horror anthology series, spearheaded by Barker who's known to be an avid comics fan, was based on Barker's "Hellraiser" books and feature films.

Fans may best remember Barker's Pinhead character, which made a few appearances in the comic. The short-lived series featured an all star cast of comics creators including stories written by Barker, Neil Gaiman, Dwayne McDuffie and others. Illustrators on the book included talent like Alex Ross, Colleen Doran and Mike Mignola, Scott Hampton and Dave McKean and others.

The book collects 11 stories in total, is 232 pages, contains a cover by artist Dan Brereton and carries a cover price of $21.95. This is Checker's second collection, the first was a collection of the '80s "Alien Legion" series.
