CLASSIC COMIC CHARACTERS #31: SHMOO STATUE
In 1948, Al Capp introduced the Shmoo in his popular "Li'l Abner" strip and it truly took the nation by storm. The Shmoo was a lovable tub of glub whose bewhiskered smile was a as cute as his button eyes. The Shmoo bred with a speed that would put rabbits to shame, consumed essentially nothing, and provided most everything that humankind could wish for. Besides producing both milk and eggs, its meat was pork when roasted, chicken when fried, and steak when broiled. During its heyday the Shmoo inspired one of the first true licensed-product bonanzas; appearing as a cornucopia of products that spawned as fast as the Shmoos themselves. This statue comes packaged in a full-color tin box with pinback This piece is limited to only 600 numbered copies, so allocation may occur.

LONE WOLF AND CUB VOLUME 23: TEARS OF ICE TP
by KAZUO KOIKE and GOSEKI KOJIMA; cover by MATT WAGNER

Holy hand grenades! Edo is flooded, and by flooded, we mean crazy-flooded. Bridges are crumbling, rivers are washing past retaining walls, and everything in Edo is floating away, including our vengeful ronin, his foe, and his little boy. In an ironic show of samurai respect, little Cub Daigoro gets saved by the conniving Retsudo Yagyu. And proving he can lend a hand, too, Lone Wolf Ogami pulls someone to safety as well - but maybe he should have let him drown. Eventually, the two opposing master swordsmen dry off and go head to head in a sword fight of a thousand stances and couple of days length. This seems like it could be the deciding bout between the two, unless that nasty, Abeno Kaii gets in the way, and he seems to do that a lot lately.

STAR WARS MINIBUSTS
Gentle Giant Studios is recognized by the film industry as the leader in cutting-edge technology of three-dimensional scanning. The data generated by 3-D scanning of characters on the set is utilized not only in the creation of digital models for a film's special effects - the Gentle Giant team also uses the data to produce prototypes of statues and other 3-D licensed products. Among the films Gentle Giant has worked on are Planet of the Apes, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Spider-Man, The Matrix: Reloaded, and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.

Being on location scanning actors, models, costumes, and props to create a digital library for Star Wars: Attack of the Clones led Gentle Giant to seek a Star Wars license for a line of mini-busts. To assure 100% realism, Gentle Giant scanned the actors, costumes, and props from Attack of the Clones, making these statues the closest one can come to owning a piece of the Star Wars universe.

Due to Dark Horse's successful handling of the Star Wars license for over 10 years, we were chosen by Gentle Giant to be the exclusive sales agent for these products. Produced in quantities of 2,500 each, we will allot the majority of these sure-to-be-in-demand mini-busts to the customers of Previews.
