LOS ANGELES, CA – The Hero Initiative Booth #205 is the place to be to meet Jack Katz this weekend!

Jack Katz began his career in the early 1950s as a penciler for Stan Lee and Marvel Comics, and continued into the early 1970s. He is best known for his 'The First Kingdom' project - a complex science-fiction epic that tells of man's migration into space, the ensuing galactic battles, and the great mystery of mankind's origin before the fall of civilization.

Today he teaches anatomy for figurative art students and continues to work on his comic book projects. In publication now is the first volume of a collection of sketches Jack has done over the past decades that illustrate for the advanced figurative art student the many different ways in which the dynamic human form can be expressed. Entitled Anatomy by Jack Katz, Vol. 1, it is available through Amazon.com and Bud Plant Comic Art.

In addition, you can win lunch with Brian K. Vaughan! The Ebay auction is open NOW at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300086004504 for this special opportunity for lunch on Saturday, March 3 at 12 pm.
