Mid-Jersey Con Announces Headliner-Michael Golden

The Mid-Jersey Con has announced that "Iron Man" and "Heroes for Hire" cover artist Michael Golden will be their special guest at the March 24th convention in Bordentown.

Rogue character, is known for his detailed pencil work on "The 'Nam," "Micronauts," "G.I. Joe Yearbook," and "Dr. Strange, " among others. Milestones in Golden's career include the co-creation of "Bucky O'Hare," as well as the creation of "Spartan X" with Jackie Chan, "Inside Kung Fu" columnist Ric Meyers and editor/writer Renee Witterstaetter. Golden can currently be seen on covers for "Nightwing," "Iron Man," "Heroes for Hire," "Battlestar Gallactica" and much more.

As a conceptual artist, Golden has penciled everything from Captain America to Vampirella-- and "Virtually every character in the industry at some point or another." Recently accepted in the august Society of Illustrators in Manhattan, and inducted on the same night as stalwarts Neal Adams and Basil Gogos, Michael has served as an Editor at DC Comics as well as Senior Art Director at Marvel Comics, and has worked on scores of movie production projects, including some currently in development.

Golden will be on hand to sign copies of the new "Manga Bucky O'Hare" from Vanguard Productions as well as his "Michael Golden Monsters" poster book from Image Comics.
