[AiT: Space 1959]SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (March 25, 2002) Writer-publisher Larry Young

announced today that his publishing house is going back to press with

new editions of three more of AiT/Planet Lar's graphic novels:

ASTOUNAUTS IN TROUBLE: SPACE 1959, THE MAKING OF ASTRONAUTS IN TROUBLE,

and NOBODY.

"We're extremely gratified with the reception our whole line has

garnered inside comics as well as in the mainstream press, and it's

particularly satisfying for me personally that the AiT script

collection, THE MAKING OF ASTRONAUTS IN TROUBLE, is going back to print.

When we initially offered the script collection, there were more than a

few folks who felt the need to tell me I was off my rocker; that no one

would have any interest in a book of comic book scripts in general or of

a collection of mine in particular. The fact that you can get

collections of Warren Ellis' DARK BLUE scripts from Avatar or Brian

Michael Bendis' POWERS scripts from Image, now, as well as a SECOND

edition of my script collection, is quite a vindication for me and my

belief that there is an audience for this sort of thing, believe me. I

couldn't be happier"

Young's own graphic novel. ASTRONAUTS IN TROUBLE: SPACE: 1959, is

getting a re-design, courtesy of Brian Wood. "This is my favorite of the

AiT series," said AiT/Planet Lar publisher Mimi Rosenheim, "and it's

awesome that Bri can work his magic on the Kieron Dwyer cover art so it

thematically matches the rest of our line. It's got sort of an EC vibe

going, but it's filtered through the modern sensibilities of his art.

Honestly," Rosenheim said, "it's just all kinds of neat that Kieron

signed his cover 'KD '59.' I love his work. And Brian kicks it up with

his design."

In addition to the script collection and AiT: SPACE 1959, the horror

graphic novel NOBODY is also going back for a second printing in May.

This one, also, sports a cover by artist/designer Brian Wood. "Even with

the design work I do for Rockstar Games and with the cover art for the

upcoming GLOBAL FREQUENCY series Warren Ellis is doing over at

DC/Wildstorm… I have to say that the AiT/Planet Lar book covers I do

remain the coolest of all, because slowly but surely, I am designing

their entire catalog of books. That's the sort of opportunity any

artist/designer would KILL to have," said Wood. "Wherever I go, I know

I've always got a home at AiT/Planet Lar."
