Fishtown to debut April 12 th at www.ACT-I-VATE.com

Cartoonist Kevin Colden is pleased to announce the debut of his first solo graphic novel Fishtown , to begin serializing weekly on ACT-I-VATE, the LiveJournal comic collective, on Thursday April 12 th , 2007.

Fishtown is a projected 120-page crime novel, inspired by the true events surrounding the brutal 2003 murder of a 16-year-old boy in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia by three neighborhood teenagers.

Kevin Colden is a New York-based cartooner, native of Philadelphia, member of the House of Twelve comic collective, and is best known as the artist of Todt Hill on The Chemistry Set ( http://www.chemsetcomics.com ) with writer Neil Kleid. Todt Hill will also continue its regular Friday schedule.

ACT-I-VATE (http://www.ACT-I-VATE.com) is a collective of 20 renegade writer/artists spearheaded by daddy-o Dean Haspiel which serializes free comics daily.
