The 2007 Eagle Awards were presented at the Bristol Comics Expo on Saturday 12th May, hosted by "Red Dwarf's" Norman Lovett. Voted for by the British comics community, the evening's ceremony saw Warren Ellis clean up across the board. Ellis won Best Writer, his "Nextwave" title won Best New Comic, Best Comic Story and Best Villain with its Nick Fury analogue, Dirk Anger, and Ellis capped the evening winning the Roll Of Honour prize. The art team from Ellis' "Planetary" and from "Astonishing X-Men," John Cassaday and Laura Martin, also won for Pencils and Colours respectively.
The winners for the Eagle Awards are based on votes received at the Eagle Awards Web site and by mail submissions. The winners are:
