INCREDIBLE HULK

According to the Hollywood Reporter, actor Tim Blake Nelson will play the role of Samuel Sterns, who comics fans know turns out to have a big head and a bigger role in the life of the Hulk.

WATCHMEN

Everybody's talking about it -- the cast for the Zack Snyder-helmed adaptation has been revealed, and CBR News has all the info.

However, JoBlo.com claims to have another piece of info about the film's casting, suggesting that actress Carla Gugino will be playing the role of Sally Jupiter, the original Silk Spectre.

BEOWULF

Speaking of things available from CBR news, screenwriter Roger Avary is the focus of a feature talking about the translation of the epic to film.

Dark Horizons has info on last night's screening of footage for CCI's preview night.

THE SPIRIT

Writer/director Frank Miller talked to Variety about bringing Will Eisner's classic character to the silver screen. "It's the story of Sand Saref," Miller said, referring to a plot that first ran in newspapers in the 1950s. It's about the first love of Spirit's life, who has turned to a life of crime, and he has to bring her to justice."

THE GAMEKEEPER

Variety also notes that director Guy Ritchie will be adapting his own comic book as a feature film, with Joel Silver producing.

IRON MAN

There's a new image of the armor on the cover of Empire magazine. Mmm, shiny ...

Also, Variety adds that the movie will take a page from the "Transformers" playbook and feature Audi cars as Tony Stark's favorite. "Deal calls for Audi's R8 supercar to be the vehicle of choice for billionaire industrialist Tony Stark when he's not wearing his high-tech suit of armor as the title character. The upcoming S5 sports coupe is also driven by a lead character in the movie. Audi's A6 sedan and Q7 SUV will make onscreen appearances in the pic as well. As part of its involvement, Audi will likely pony up tens of millions of dollars to help promote the movie worldwide upon its release, set for May 2. Details of the marketing plans are still being worked out." Nobody buys American anymore ...

THE DARK KNIGHT

How about a spy photo of Heath Ledger as the Joker, courtesy of Mollygood.com? That's the stuff.

CREEPY/EERIE

Old fashioned comic book horror for TV and film? That's Dark Horse's stand, as detailed here at CBR News.

THE DAMNED/COURTNEY CRUMIN

CBR News also has the story on Dreamworks' plans to adapt the two Oni titles.

HEROES

Herosite has two new image galleries, showing promotional shots for season two as well as images from the season premiere called "Four Months Later."

THE STUDIO HAS SOME NOTES ...

We can't do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos -- they're all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, "What do you mean your sister's dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?" The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, comics reviews are on line despite the motion of the CBR Yacht and "enough talk -- let's go make with the 'biff' and the 'pow' already" -- time to go to the 'con!
