Official Press Release

He's a tough-talking, two-fisted, gun-toting, book-reading,

time-traveling librarian, and, as it turns out, Rex Libris is exactly

what a lot of readers have been looking for. SLG Publishing has

announced that the first issue of Rex Libris by James Turner, initially

released in August 2005, will be reprinted to keep up with reader demand.

Erudite and spectacled, Rex may seem an unexpected superhero, but SLG

had confidence in the series from the start. Based on that conviction,

SLG's President and Publisher Dan Vado decided not only to supply double

the initial orders to comic book stores who were enrolled in Diamond

Comic Distributor's overship program, but also to print what he felt was

an ample number of copies to keep the comic in stock. However, within a

few months, it became clear that Rex Libris was an even bigger hit than

anticipated. A number of positive reviews and support from an

enthusiastic librarian community spread the good word about Rex Libris,

and the series continues to be a strong seller.

Besides reprinting the first issue, SLG will also satisfy popular demand

for Rex Libris by offering each issue on Amazon.com. Also available now

is a Rex Libris poster (12 x 17"), featuring Rex in the manner of Uncle

Sam, demanding, "Have You Returned Your Library Books?" A Rex Libris

Ordo Bibliotheca T-shirt will be available shortly, and a limited

edition Rex Libris statuette will be released in summer 2006.

Rex Libris #3 is scheduled to be in comic book stores on February 1,

2006. For more information about Rex Libris, James Turner's graphic

novel Nil: A Land Beyond Belief and other SLG Publishing titles, visit

their website at www.slgpublishing.com.
