Official Press Release
July 14, 2006 - Fans attending this years San Diego Comic Con can visit the Zoom Suit booth to meet the star of the Zoom Suit series – Zoom! Team Zoom is proud to announce their costumed hero will be on hand at San Diego Comic Con to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for pictures. Zoom will be appearing with creator John Taddeo in booth 1704. Free posters and ash can comics will be given to all fans 12 and under (or 12 and under at heart).
In the Zoom Suit comic book, Myles Mason mistakes the alien suit as the answer to his prayers when it falls from the sky, but in real life the Zoom Suit was created by the team behind the popular HALO armor – Nightmare Armor Studios.
"It's exciting and very original", Said Sid Garrand of Nightmare Armor Studios. "We manufactured the best armored suit possible. With chrome plated parts, candy apple green and blue painted parts and green LEDs to match the alien glow featured in the comic and animation. It's an amazing piece that we're very proud of.
The 12 year old hero stands just 5 high, but will be a presence at the Zoom Suit booth and on the floor of the San Diego Convention Center beginning on Thursday, July 19th 2006.
To commemorate the event, an exclusive COMIC CON EDITION of Zoom Suit #3 has been created. The comic features the artwork of fan favorite Bart Sears and is presented in "Sketch" format entirely in gold metallic ink. The edition is limited to 1,000 copies. The comic can be seen at the Superverse direct shop at http://superverse.com/superversedirect
"Visit us and get a photo with Zoom", said Zoom Suit creator John Taddeo. "But be warned, this thing weighs like 50 pounds, so get here before Myles passes out from exhaustion."
