Midtown Comics in New York City celebrates the comic book art form with Free Comic Book Day, on Saturday, May 4th, by offering free new comics including every title from every publisher participating in this event. Some of the hottest titles from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Dark Horse and Image Comics will be available with no purchase required. Over two million comic books for readers of all ages will be given away by participating stores, introducing as many people as possible to the excitement of comic books!

What's special only at Midtown: This year we are thrilled to present special Midtown Comics editions of three of the hottest new comic books. Superman Last Son of Krypton #1 from DC Comics (contains a preview of Superman Unchained by Scott Snyder and Jim Lee), FCBD: Infinity from Marvel Comics, which kicks off their epic-event story of the summer, and FCBD 2013 Harbinger Wars Special from Valiant Entertainment!

Creator signings at Midtown on FCBD:
There will be three great creator signings at Midtown Comics Downtown on FCBD. Meet Chris Eliopoulos and Nate Cosby, creators of Cow Boy from Archaia Entertainment at 1:00PM. Archie Comics presents writer Alex Simmons and artist Jamal Peppers (Sonic/Mega Man) at 3:00PM. DC Comics presents Scott Snyder and Jim Lee signing Superman Last Son of Krypton #1 FCBD Midtown branded edition from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

Now in its twelfth year, Free Comic Book Day is especially timely, with major Hollywood films featuring Iron Man, Superman, and Wolverine taking center stage at multiplexes everywhere throughout the Spring and Summer of 2013.

Free Comic Book Day kicks off at 8:00AM at Midtown Comics Times Square, and 11:00AM at Midtown Comics Grand Central and Downtown, and runs until 9:00PM (while supplies last) at all three locations.
