Gary Grossi has been drawing hot rods since just after high school. He creates original hot rod cartoon drawings, including his own interpretation of hot rods, street rods, vintage drag racing, classic cars, custom cars, and some kustom kulture. ”I was about 12 when I used to buy Hot Rod magazines and saw the ads in the back for Big Daddy Roth's Monster shirts, I saw those and thought ‘WOW! If I could draw like that…’” After hanging around a local speed shop, Gary started drawing pictures of friend's cars, and created advertisements for the speed shop owner, which ignited his ambition to draw more and come up with more and more ideas for hot rods, drag cars and anything car related. ”All my work starts out with a pencil drawing, which is then refined and inked, then scanned into my PC were it is further refined and colored.” For more information and examples of his work visit: http://www.rodtoons.com Gary Grossi was born, raised and still resides in Santa Rosa, California.
