"The Art of Rube Goldberg" Panel Discussion

Thursday, March 6th, 2014

Start Time: 12:27AM    End Time: 12:57AM

Not many of us make it into the dictionary as an adjective. But then again, Rube Goldberg is no ordinary noun.
He was a cartoonist, humorist, sculptor, author, engineer, and inventor, and in his seventy-two-year career, he wrote and illustrated nearly fifty thousand cartoons, which were syndicated in daily newspapers throughout the world. His granddaughter, the designer Jennifer George joins cartoonist Al Jaffee and New Yorker writer Adam Gopnik and cartoon historian Brian Walker to look back at the life and work of this quintessential American cartoonist.
Jennifer George will be selling and signing copies of her new book, The Art of Rube Goldberg, following the event.
