(Additional autographs are $10 each) In addition, portfolios, art prints, books and sketches will be available for purchase! We are also taking orders for commissions for fans who wish to reserve one and pick up on Wednesday, so now is the time to get a piece of art drawn up by Neal Adams. Also, fans can enter to win a Neal Adams Batman drawing. No purchase necessary, and fans can enter any time between now and up till the signing Wednesday. The winner will be announced at 3PM on Wednesday. The winner does not have to be present at the signing, and will be contacted via e-mail. All fans need to do is fill out your contact info and e-mail address for their regular Fat Jack’s updates. The accompanying Batman image is the image that one lucky fan will win. No purchase necessary.
Fat Jack’s is also having their huge progressive sale on most back issues, and the sale beginning Sunday June 15th will increase to 65% off. We encourage fans to hurry to purchase the back issues for their collections, as when a book sells out, when restocked, it will not be on sale. “There are creators, and then there are living legends. Neal is a living legend. We are pleased that an artist of Neal's stature has taken the time out of his busy summer convention schedule to help us celebrate our June anniversary,” states Mike Ferrero of Fat Jack’s Comicrypt. “Our fans have been elated at the prospect of this meet & greet and the chance to win a free Batman sketch courtesy of Neal and Fat Jack's Comicrypt.” Neal Adams is a towering figure in the world of comic book creation and art. Neal has had legendary ‘runs’ on Batman, X-Men, Green Lantern-Green Arrow and Deadman. Adams rescued Batman from the campy nostalgia of the television show, and re-fitted him in his present incarnation as an “Avenger of the Night.” When people say ‘modern Batman,’ they mean Neal Adams’ Batman. His run on Batman led directly to the new, more realistic incarnation in the “Batman Begins” movie, which featured the character he created, Ra’s Al Ghul.
