The Cartoon Art Museum welcomes Pepe Moreno for a special presentation and booksigning on Thursday, March 11, 2010, from 7pm to 9pm. Moreno’s groundbreaking graphic novel, Batman: Digital Justice, was the second best-selling graphic novel of its era. Moreno continued to explore new ground in video game design and production with classics and best sellers including Hell Cab (http://pepemoreno.com/HellCab.htm) and Beach Head (http://pepemoreno.com/BeachHead.htm). He is currently publishing several blogs (http://www.thedarksideweekly.blogspot.com and http://www.pepemorenoart.blogspot.com) while developing new publishing concepts and comic book concepts for the Internet. Moreno is currently developing Amusedom, an international comic book art magazine and artist network.
At the Cartoon Art Museum’s event, timed to coincide with the 2010 Game Developer’s Conference (http://www.gdconf.com) in San Francisco, Moreno will be discussing his work on Batman: Digital Justice as well as his latest graphic novel, Rebel, which was previously serialized in the popular fantasy magazine Heavy Metal. The suggested donation for this event is $5. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
