Army of Darkness #1

It’s a new spin on the usual status quo. While it is different, it isn’t altogether interesting.

Bad Guys

What do you expect when villains need to win the day? This book takes them to dark places and the results are generally grim.

Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time: The Eye of the World #1

This adaptation of "The Wheel of Time" isn't bad, but I feel like it's preaching to the choir just a bit.

Visually distinct from the two issues prior, this issue of "Mercy Thompson" is definitely carrying on the story those earlier issues started.

Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson: Homecoming #2

Mercy Thompson's four-color floppy adventures continue in this issue. I'm not sure of the intended schedule, but this issue was well worth the four-month wait.

Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson: Homecoming #1

Mercy Thompson makes the leap from novel to graphic novel -- well comic book, actually -- in this first issue of a four-issue limited series. The art is shiny and the story is fast-paced, offering a very different read from other books out this week.
