While talking to Entertainment Weekly, Benedict Cumberbatch revealed how teaching English to Tibetan monks back when he was 19 years old ended up influencing his performance.
“It was a very unfair exchange,” said Cumberbatch. “Basically, they taught me reams, fathoms, more than I could possibly begin [to teach them]. I became interested the meeting point between Western logic and Eastern mysticism.”
Executive producer Charles Newirth also revealed what happened when he was on location in Nepal shooting for "Strange."
“We were in Kathmandu, we were shooting in some of the public areas, and the crowds that turned out for Benedict weren’t like anything I’ve ever seen in 30 years in the business,” said Newirth. “It was like the Beatles showed up after 'The Ed Sullivan Show.' He did one thing one day where he just popped his head out of a window just to say ‘Hi’ to the fans and it just erupted into just love and adoration. There were girls that were crying and hugging each other when they saw him go by. It was really remarkable.”
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke about Doctor Strange's comparatively strange power set, which includes a few magical accessories in addition to his spell-casting.
“He does cast spells, which in the comics have very sort of tongue-twisty fun names. We don’t want to shy away from that, because that’s what makes Doctor Strange Doctor Strange," said Feige. "He has a Cloak of Levitation that allows him to fly, but he doesn’t fly like Superman or like Thor. It’s almost got a consciousness of its own, this cloak, which, again, gives us a superhero with a red cape -- which we’ve seen a few times -- but allows us to do it in a wholly unique and wholly original way. He can create these mandalas of light that he can use as shields and he can use as sort of weapons. He can create portals that will open before your eyes that he can step through and go to other places around the world. And frankly, even in this film, we’ll only touch upon what a lot of his powers are.”
In addition to the Cloak, Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange will also possess the Eye of Agamotto, another one of the hero's signature artifacts.
“In this film, the Eye is a very important relic that can be quite dangerous if used in the wrong hands, because it has the ability to do any number of things, the most dangerous of which is, it can sort of manipulate probabilities," said Feige. "Which is also another way of saying, ‘screw around with time’ -- which is part of our story.”

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
New promotional art for "Civil War" features Black Panther's claws going up against Cap's shield. The art comes from Hablemos de Marvel.
"'Civil War' will be a brilliant movie, a huge movie and I'll have the support of the success of that movie so that I can go on to my own," said Holland. "It was also a real eye-opener to what it will be like when I start my film. I think the problem with 'Civil War' for me was that it made me 10 times more excited to start on 'Spider-Man,' but we don't start for months, so I've got to sit on that excitement for the moment."

Netflix has released a few new stills from "Daredevil's" second season.
"She's just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have," he explained, referring to the character's history as Daredevil's ex-lover. "She does everything wrong and attractive, she's [Matt Murdock's] id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. He's both repulsed and deeply drawn to that."
Returns to Netflix in 2016
The other two stills feature Hildebrand's character and Gina Carano's super strong Angel Dust. Empire's write-up for the Negasonic Teenage Warhead pic also reveals that the character is wearing a New Mutants uniform -- not an X-Men one.
Reynolds also spoke about "Deadpool's" relationship to the rest of the X-Men films. "This film certainly works within the context of the X-Men universe, but it doesn't necessarily include the sensibilities of an X-Men movie. It's like taking an X-Men character, pumping him full of LSD and then releasing him back into the fold."
Describing the fight, Skrein said, "Ryan’s like Muhammad Ali, dancing around, whispering in my ear. And I’m George Foreman. Every blow is like a haymaker and I just want to take his head off."
"Ed got yoked for the movie," Reynolds revealed. "I saw his arms and got pretty upset at myself for not working out harder," he continued, though the other photo EW debuted indicates the star did a pretty good job of getting himself into fighting shape for the role.

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
While looking at a still image from "Legends of Tomorrow," ComicBook.com has noticed a possibly familiar looking artifact in a display case. Could that army helmet belong to Sgt. Rock?
The CW has aired a new promo for "Legends of Tomorrow" that dives further into the team's origin, as it shows Rip Hunter consulting with the Time Masters about the threat of Vandal Savage.
Premieres January 21, 2016 on the CW
"'Jessica' is her series. Anything that's primarily 'Luke Cage' we want to save for Luke Cage's series. I'm not saying that you're going to see the yellow shirt, but if you're going to see it, it'll be in Luke Cage's series."
He also spoke about how Luke Cage resonates today. "I'm very aware of the current environment that we're in, especially in America, what's going on with the police and what's going on with these incidents. I'm acutely aware of it. This is not necessarily the platform to hit it head on. That being said, I really feel like Luke Cage is a timely hero right now. I feel like what we're doing subtly -- with the storytelling and how he is as a character -- that's going to be different than what you saw in 'Jessica.'"
Debuts on Netflix in 2016
While talking to EW, director Bryan Singer discussed these power upgrades, specifically when it comes to Michael Fassbender's Master of Magnetism.
“One of Apocalypse’s many powers is he can imbue other mutants with greater ones,” said Singer. The director then referenced to the accompanying concept art, seen above. “Magneto is demonstrating a small taste of what he can do now. Magneto is already enormously powerful…. Now Apocalypse gives him powers far beyond what we’ve seen before.”
