A pamphlet from Fox's Toy Fair presentation revealed that the studio anticipates an R-rating for the third and final film in their "Wolverine" franchise.

According to the pamphlet, which surfaced on Imgur, "Wolverine 3" has an "anticipated rating" of R. That doesn't necessarily mean the film will score that rating; the MPAA assigns ratings, meaning the actual process is out of Fox's hands. However, it proves the studio's intention to make the film more violent than previous installments.

Though Fox's other R-rated superhero franchise, "Deadpool," has proved itself successful, it's unlikely this had any bearing on "Wolverine 3's" targeted rating; the literature presented at last weekend's Toy Fair would likely have been approved long in advance to "Deadpool's" debut.

Patrick Stewart, who has played Professor X since 2000's "X-Men," announced he would appear in "Wolverine 3" last August. Though not very many details are known about the project, rumors that it would be based on Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's "Old Man Logan" have since been debunked.

Starring Hugh Jackman and Stewart, "Wolverine 3" is scheduled for release on March 3, 2017.
