Morgan is a little more excited about his "Walking Dead" role than his mother.

During his appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," "Watchmen" star Jeffrey Dean Morgan offered a few details about his upcoming role as Negan on "The Walking Dead" and explained why his mother wasn't thrilled with his decision to take the part.

"[Negan]'s a game changer. It's a complete 180 from what I'm doing on 'The Good Wife,' which -- as an actor -- is a dream come true," Morgan shared. "I get to be the biggest ass in the world."

However, his mother wasn't quite as excited. "When I took the show, [my mother] was like, 'What does this mean with "The Good Wife?"' Morgan recalled. "She was devastated that it could be the end. I was like, 'Mom, keep your pants on. We'll see what happens.'"
