Legion of Super Heroes Vol 6 9
The Legion is headed back to DC TV.

During the Television Critics Association winter press tour, DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns revealed that one live-action DC TV show will at least refer to the Legion of Super-Heroes (via TVLine).

"You'll see a hint of the Legion on one of our shows," Johns teased, but refused to specify which show he was referring to.

"I love the Legion. They're underused and hopefully we’ll get them out there soon," he added.

This wouldn't be the Legion's first live-action appearance. The team also showed up in "Smallville's" eighth season for an episode appropriately titled "Legion," written by Johns himself. Legion members Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad appeared in the episode.

However, there are many more DC superhero shows on the air these days, so it's a bit harder to pin down which one Johns is referring to. As both Superman and Superboy have a history with the Legion, "Supergirl" would easily fit right in. On the other hand, considering the time-travelling elements of both "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow," a trip to the future (or vice versa) could be in order.

Regardless, it seems likely that a "hint" to the Legion may develop into a full-blown cameo.
