Movie memorabilia tends to be hugely collectible, with people often willing to lay out thousands of dollars for a piece of Hollywood history. Superhero films in particular, with their intricate costumes and detailed prop weaponry and gadgets, tend to feature highly sought after pieces of memorabilia, and it's likely that fans will be willing to shell out some serious cash for items from the upcoming "Suicide Squad" flick.
However, if you've got your eye on Harley Quinn's soon-to-be-iconic baseball bat, think again. Kevin Smith took to Facebook over the weekend to reveal that that piece of movie history is already claimed -- Warner Bros. gifted the director with the bat after he hosted their television specials earlier this month. Smith then re-gifted the bat to his daughter, Harley Quinn Smith, who he and his wife named after the iconic Batman villain.
Directed by David Ayer and starring Jared Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Ben Affleck and many others, "Suicide Squad" hits screens on August 5.
