The X-Men are posed to take a much bigger role in the second Marvel Civil War.

This past Saturday, a series of panel discussions were livestreamed to comic book stores around the country as part of an "In-Store Convention Kick-Off" event. During a presentation, Marvel announced a new "Cilvil War II" tie-in for the X-Men.

Besides the fact that Cullen Bunn will pen the four-issue "Civil War II: X-Men" series with David Yardin drawing the cover to the first issue, not many details were revealed. Bunn later took to his website to reveal that Andrea Broccardo will be handling interior artwork.

Bunn also said that the crux of the tie-in will pit the two main X-teams, those found in his own "Uncanny X-Men" and the "Extraordinary X-Men," against one another. He wrote that the two groups will "collide in a big way" during the event.

"Civil War II" #0 is due from writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Olivier Coipel in May; the cover for that issue has been revealed. It's also known that the death of a major superhero will spur the events of "Civil War II." "Civil War II" #1, also written by Bendis and featuring the art from David Marquez, arrives in June. Below, take a peek at Yardin's cover art for issue #1 of the X-Men tie-in.

UPDATE 3/6/2016 4:40 PM PT: A previous version of this article mistakenly identified the cover artist of "Civil War: X-Men" #1, and was unclear as to the level of Marvel's involvement in the In-Store Convention Kick-Off event. The article has since been amended.
