The division at the heart of "Captain America: Civil War" has not only caused the heroes of Marvel's movie-verse to pick sides, it's also spurred celebrities to choose either #TeamCap and #TeamIronMan. When it comes down to whether or not superheroes should be registered in order to do their heroic duties, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star John Boyega swore his allegiance to Captain America's anti-registration side.

Boyega, who plays the ex-Stormtrooper Finn in the new "Star Wars" trilogy, explained his reasoning in a series of tweets wherein he unequivocally sides with Cap.

Boyega weighed in on the rationale laid out in the latest "Civil War" trailer, which references the mass destruction in New York City, Washington DC and Sokovia as seen in previous Marvel movies.

Boyega will be happy to learn that Black Panther actually hasn't chosen a side, despite being shown on Iron Man's team in promotional materials and the trailer. "He's not aligned with either side and he has his own road fork that's very central to the plot of the film," said "Civil War" co-director Anthony Russo back in January. "Like, he's very invested emotionally, but it doesn't fall into clean sides."

But really, Boyega's decision to side with Cap comes down to one reason:

Still, Boyega's involved in Disney's other massive franchise, the one that's not Marvel. So really, it all comes back to "Star Wars"...

"Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6.
