A new video by DidYouKnowGaming? clears up long-standing rumors about the lack of a video game tie-in to Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" -- the biggest movie of 2008 -- diving into the history of the games' development and reasons for its cancellation, while sharing a glimpse of what little footage has survived.

The thirteen-minute presentation explains where the adaptation went wrong. At first, producer Pandemic Studios, who produced "Star Wars: Battlefront" and other hits, was unable to begin production in a timely fashion due to the veil of secrecy surrounding the sequel. From there, the dominoes fell in such a way that the game became a quagmire of a project, and was eventually abandoned altogether
