Opening up about his "Justice League" movie, director Zack Snyder ("Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice") revealed that Batman will be the one to unite the team in the film -- which he describes as "intense" and "gigantic" in scope -- likening it to the 1954 Japanese classic, "Seven Samurai."
Speaking to Yahoo! Movies about Batman's role as the assembler of the Justice League, Snyder said, "I'm getting ready to start 'Justice League' on the 11th of April, so in like two weeks we start shooting...and it’s an intense, awesome, and gigantic undertaking because Bruce [Wayne] is having to go out and sort of 'Seven Samurai' the Justice League together, which is fun."
He added, "It’s slightly monumental, and at the same time they’re starting to grapple with this coming threat."
"Batman v Superman" hits theaters on March 25.
